RECOVERY STARTS WITH BELIEVING YOURSELF
Saturday 19 September 2026 · 2–3pm BST (3pm Amsterdam · 2pm Lisbon · 9am New York)
Online
Most of us are trying to recover from burnout, overwhelm and stress while still telling ourselves it isn't that bad, or to get a grip and try harder.
A free one-hour conversation on emotional suppression, burnout, and why validation, not discipline, is where recovery actually starts.
Can't make it live? Register anyway. Everyone who signs up gets the recording.
This is free. You'll get the joining link by email, a reminder before we start, and the recording afterwards.
Registering is worth it even if you can't be there live. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Most of us were never taught what to do with our feelings.
We were taught to get on with it.
So we get on with it. We push through the tiredness, we call the resentment "being busy," we tell ourselves to get a grip, pull it together, and stop being dramatic.
Here's what we see, every day, in our work: burnout isn't just too much on your plate.
It's what happens when you spend years overriding your own signals, when every emotion gets filed under "not now."
When you can validate everyone else's exhaustion but not your own.
You can't recover from something you keep telling yourself isn't happening.
Before anything else works - rest, boundaries, the tools - you have to believe your own experience.
In this hour, we're talking about how emotional suppression actually feeds burnout, how Mindful Emotion Coaching (MEC) can be used to work with overwhelm rather than against it, why self-validation isn't self-indulgence, and how to start recognising what you actually need instead of what you think you should be able to cope with.
This is a real conversation, not a lecture.
Milena will interview Sarah, and both of us will use examples from our own lives and from our client work.
We've both been on the wrong side of this and we're talking to you from a place of lived experience.
THIS IS FOR YOU, IF...
-
You're capable, responsible, the one holding it together, and you're exhausted by it
-
You suspect you might be burning out, but you're not sure you're "bad enough" to say so
-
You catch yourself dismissing your own feelings with "other people have it worse"
-
You're good at supporting everyone else and terrible at letting anyone support you
-
You lead a team, or work in health, education, therapy, or care, and you're holding a lot of other people's weight
-
You want to understand what actually makes a difference
You don't need a diagnosis, a crisis, or any prior knowledge of emotion coaching. You just need an hour.
WHAT YOU'LL LEAVE WITH:
-
A clear understanding of how emotional suppression and burnout are connected
-
An introduction to Mindful Emotion Coaching and how it's used with overwhelm, stress and exhaustion
-
Practical ways to start validating your own experience (and other people's) without it feeling forced
-
Language for what you've been feeling but haven't been able to name

THE BODY FIRST: SELF-PACED COURSE

MILENA GAUDENZI
Burnout Recovery Coach
Milena is a burnout recovery coach who works with people on the internal patterns that caused the burnout in the first place, not just the symptoms.
After 18 years in high-pressure leadership roles, most of them managing people, she burned out hard. What she rebuilt wasn't just her energy; it was her entire relationship with herself and with life.
She doesn't teach anything she hasn't lived, and she doesn't believe in surface-level solutions to deep problems.
Her work blends nervous system regulation, emotional intelligence, self-validation and belief rewiring, with clients one-to-one and with businesses building workplaces that don't burn people out.
